Message from the Principal
Thank you for visiting the website of Shizuoka Prefectural Shimizu Minami High School and its affiliated Junior High School.
Our school is located near the UNESCO World Heritage site of Miho no Matsubara, offering a stunning view of the majestic Mount Fuji and the expansive Suruga Bay from its grounds. Guided by our school motto, “Graceful like Mount Fuji, Fragrant like Tachibana oranges,” we strive daily to nurture global citizens equipped with high intelligence, rich sensitivity, and strong expressive skills.
The most distinctive feature of our school is its integrated system, combining a general education curriculum and an arts curriculum in a public junior and senior high school. Over six years, from the first year of junior high through the third year of high school, students engage in a variety of educational activities, including expressive and exploratory learning as well as arts education, fostering mutual interaction across grade levels.
With the support of the local community, we are committed to promoting even better educational activities, helping each student maximize their abilities and potential to achieve their personal goals. We look forward to your continued support and cooperation.
Furthermore, we regularly share updates about our students' vibrant school lives and various educational activities on our official X account. We encourage you to follow us there as well. Thank you.
